Start Date : 27 February 2012
End Date : 1 March 2012
Location :
Grampians Road, Halls Gap, Victoria, Australia
Description
This workshop will explore the process of drafting a pattern and then creating the felt to make the jacket. Individual patterns will be made to ensure the jacket fits and felt is created specifically for the style of jacket designed. Competence in making large pieces of felt required for this class. Knowledge on how to use a sewing machine an advantage but not essential.
Having taught sewing and patternmaking for nearly 20 years and writing five sewing related books between 1985 and 1993, Phyllis's focus has always been textiles. When she stumbled on felting she took to it with great passion. Phyllis now incorporates her fashion skills with her felting skills to produce designer clothing in felt. www.phylstudio.com
