Description
Nuno felting with a twist! In this workshop participants will explore new techniques of embedding silk fabric, yarns and threads, amongst woollen fibres and prefelts to create wearable felt art.
The workshop will commence with discovering the technique of Prefelt Lamination with a very particular emphasis on each participant transferring their ideas into good design.
Soomee Kim began her career in textiles at University in Seoul, majoring in Batik and Weaving/Tapestry. She completed her Masters of Applied Art (Textiles) in Korea; and studied Textiles in Melbourne in 2006. A regular exhibitor in Australia and Korea her work is a fusion of Oriental and Western influences and displays the influence of both the Korean and Australian landscapes and her love of each.
