This workshop will explore several methods for creating felt and is designed for those who want to get started in the exciting word of felting. It will cover the use of a variety of fibres, and will include an exploration of surfaces and pockets. Phyllis, will lead you through a range of felting techniques that will equip beginners with skills to continue the exploration of felting.
Having taught sewing and patternmaking for nearly 20 years and writing five sewing related books between 1985 and 1993, Phyllis’ focus has always been textiles. When she stumbled on felting she took to it with great passion. Phyllis now incorporates her fashion skills with her felting skills to produce designer clothing in felt. www.phylstudio.com
