In every fabric artist there is a bit of Gypsy - the flamboyant, the colourful and the collector!
In this workshop create a string of Gypsy Dolls. The workshop will explore the creation of the doll patterns, painting faces, and dressing styles to designs and make a Gypsy string of dolls. It is predicted these whimsical dolls incorporating painting and textiles will hold hands and dance around in loose and rustic fashion flamenco.
Anna Reynolds is recognized as a leading contemporary artist being a winner in 2010 at the Togart Contemporary Art Award, Darwin NT; she is a community artist and a doll maker. Recently back from an international residency, exhibition and forum surrounding the context of traditional and contemporary textile culture and globalization. www.artistannareynolds.com
