Start Date : 27 February 2012
End Date : 1 March 2012
Location :
Grampians Road, Halls Gap, Victoria, Australia
Description
This workshop will focus on pattern making to create handbags designed for the individual. With the focus on larger bags such at totes, students will work with soft garment weight leathers with colourful prints and vibrant pigskin linings and including pockets and zip purses. You must be able to use your own heavy duty serviced sewing machine with competence. (Leave the electronic machine home and bring the older mechanical machine).
Yvonne Twining began her love affair with leather in 1974, and with the passage of time has delved into most aspects of this fascinating craft from the traditional, through to sculpture and including footwear. Her work has been exhibited throughout Australia and New Zealand and she has had broad teaching experience, from individuals to large classes.
