Description
This workshop will explore the process of creating reversible felts to create a scarf or shawl utilizing SooMee’s Prefelt Lamination Nuno felting method. Then using these same skills, & your own designs, you will create a reversible vest. At the conclusion of this workshop each participant will leave with amazing new works which, coupled with their creativity, will allow them to continue creating wearable art.
Soomee Kim began her career in textiles at University in Seoul, majoring in Batik and Weaving/Tapestry. She completed her Masters of Applied Art (Textiles) in Korea; and also studied Textiles at Box Hill Institute Melbourne for a year in 2006. A regular exhibitor in Australia and Korea her work is a fusion of Oriental and Western influences.
