Description
Internationally known textile artist Jan Irvine-Nealie will take students on a journey to explore the impacts of running stitch and related stitches with fabric manipulation. Using raw edge fabric collage construction with stitch, pulling up and scrubbing back, creating welts and ridges students will design and make their own project.This workshop is directed to the experienced textile artist.
Jan Irvine-Nealie is well known for her particular style of stitched art textiles; her work has been represented in international exhibitions and publications. Her unique style combines an artist’s approach to image making with the ancient tradition of stitching.
