In this workshop explore the many possibilities of creating stitched brochures. Through a combination of Free Machine Embroidery or drawing with the sewing machine to hand stitching techniques, working over painted backgrounds, creating texture with tension techniques, and colour mixing with thread, endless possibilities are explored of building an image for small individual textile jewellery.
Born in England Celia studied Art and Design – Embroidered Textiles; and migrated to Sydney, in 1990. She taught and exhibited her distinctive Embroidered Textile Art across Australia and NZ. In 2004 she moved to Tasmania where she is now enjoying living with her passions! - her Grandchildren, plus plenty of Colour and Pattern and Drawing be it with a pencil, pen or drawing with her sewing machine.
